Not clear if this was a temporary miscoding since it posted as Wireless for several after May 22. UPDATE: GOOGLE FI still sometimes posts as streaming credit. Worked for me on September 14th 2020. Had already used the $20 wireless credit and paid another $20 go Google FI and it was refunded as streaming credit. My experience is that it works 50% of the time.

You can also buy other random values of stamps including extra ounces, $1, etc., some of which have pretty small minimums. There are also prepaid Priority Mail envelopes -- $7.75 each, but minimum 3 (but at $23.25, not a bad use of the $20 credit). I might buy those rather than stamps going forward, because I rarely use stamps, and I often find myself mailing things by Priority Mail. You can also buy individual stamped envelopes.
I also have a hunch that you could buy whatever you want on there, but maybe someone else wants to be the guinea pig to find out.

According to the CSR that I chatted with at Amex, "marketing" was aware of the issue with Google Fi but it was Google's responsibility to code the transaction properly.

So much Google Fi chatter. My bill was charged on the 18th, automatic payment, same as each month and the credit is showing posted as streaming. I also paid $20 to my mom's AT&T wireless account the same day which triggered the cell phone benefit. I realize not everybody is thrilled with how this is coding, but I'm not going to complain. I don't pay any streaming services on a monthly basis, so it would go unused otherwise.

Manual payment. My normal payment date is around the 13th. For next month I will let it run through automatically.

I was just about to post that my Google Fi payment triggered the wireless credit this morning. The credit posted 1-day after the payment, was the standard auto-pay, and seemed to code like all past Google Fi payments. Hope that it stays this way!

Adding a couple data points for the Amex Biz.
Consumer Cellular triggered the phone credit automatically.
Photostamps.com hasn't triggered the shipping credit after 8 days. This is the website that John Oliver is selling his stamps from a recent episode.
Guess I'll go with some more stamps at USPS instead.

I changed my Google Fi regular payment method to my Amex Plat at the beginning of the month, before reading that Google Fi probably wouldn't be reimbursed. My monthly payment was charged on May 8 and the $20 credit on May 22.
There are no other charges or credits in this billing period (and no other wireless phone charges in recent years), so it's definitely a reimbursement of the Fi charge. I didn't contact Amex about this.

This makes the Platinum card more compelling for me to keep when the fee is due.
