    • Google Fi - posted as streaming for some (plat - "GOOGLE *GOOGLE FI G.CO/HELPPAY# CA", pay.google.com, additional information shows "GAMES"); no credit on green (additional information shows "Axxxxxxx SELLER"). Not clear if this was a temporary miscoding since it posted as Wireless for several after May 22. UPDATE: GOOGLE FI still sometimes posts as streaming credit. Worked for me on September 14th 2020. Had already used the $20 wireless credit and paid another $20 go Google FI and it was refunded as streaming credit. My experience is that it works 50% of the time.

There's this:

https://www.americanexpress.com/us/r...fo/retail.html

scroll down to "U.S. Wireless Telephone Service Providers" -- although it also notes "*This is not a complete list" (and e.g. I think people have reported that Fi actually counts for the *streaming* credit)

It does not seem to distinguish between pre/postpaid, so...

DP: "Animal Crossing" monthly subscription fee ($3) from Play Store was reimbursed from the streaming credit.
I thought this credit is for movie streaming only.

It works for MP3 purchases too on Amazon.

So I chatted with an AMEX rep today about my "AT&T Uverse" auto-pay which includes wireless (but bundled) - I asked if this would receive a statement credit - they said yes (didn't mention this was a bundle). I asked when the statement credit would post - got the standard 2-4 weeks. I asked if I don't see it, should I chat in and have it manually applied? They replied yes - if I don't see it in 2 weeks.

Sort of annoying but maybe the $20 is worth the 5 minute chat every month?

Buying Google Play credit in the app triggered the credit.

This is helpful for me because I had already loaded up my Google Play balance with discounted gift cards to pay for YTTV for the rest of year. Now I don't have to switch the billing to AMEX and pay $33.50 per month out of pocket and bank my Play balance until 2021.

Just spoke to a rep and he was very aggressive in saying Google Fi did not qualify. I pointed him to previous chat with rep saying it was and he said "we've found out that it doesn't" and "I see that you were told it is, now it is not" and would not bulge. I did not feel like escalating so just hung up. But Google Fi will likely be a hassle to get reimbursed.

I know the rep was making up bs as he went saying MVNO are considered "resellers and not a real carrier" so they were excluded. I will probably ask for a supervisor outright next time to clarify.

I guess we'll all have to keep escalating Google Fi to see if they fix it. Everyone calling every month for the rest of the year seem untenable.

It is not going to post - bundled does not count. I separated my AT&T account because it's worth it for the next 8 months to lose $10/month on the bundle since I have $50 in credits/month to gain with 2 platinums and a green card. And then I will save tons of my time not having to hassle Amex for the benefit. Just my two cents I think it's worth it.

Does anyone have any information about the one time $200 statement credit for travel purchased through the Amex Travel portal for Platinum card holders? Apparently it is being issued to those who renewed their card membership anytime after April of this year. I called Amex yesterday and the agent did a google search and found the various blog posts about the new benefit (https://onemileatatime.com/amex-plat...travel-credit/) but she stated she knew nothing about that.

I just paid my AF on the last statement credit so I am hoping I would qualify, especially because the new streaming/mobile credits are worthless to me. I use the Amex travel portal quite often, and I think $200 in credits is a fairly good deal.

Did you receive an email about the new credits and if so, did it mention the amex travel credit? Supposedly that language indicates whether one has been targeted. I'm not sure anyone has received information about the mechanics of the $200 credit, unfortunately.

I have Cricket Wireless service, and was successful in getting reimbursed on my AMEX Platinum card for a $20 payment.

Meanwhile, I'm not a big streaming user, but I have a Netflix subscription. But I'm paid up with gift cards until August (they were 1/3rd off at Walgreens at Xmas). There doesn't seem to be a way to buy a gift card directly from Netflix, or simply pay them money directly to extend your subscription. I have Amazon Prime, but I can't say I'm too likely to want to buy a movie rental (if that even works). Other than try some new random streaming service, does anyone have an idea how I could use my monthly $20 streaming credit?
