Amex Airline Credit - Covid 19 Refund
Hello! New flyertalker here, here goes:
In December, I purchased 2 Delta tickets partially with a Delta gift card and was able to get my $200 incidental airline credit from my Amex Plat card. We are now considering canceling our trip. I read Delta is waiving change fees if tickets were purchased before March, so I should be able to get Delta funds for the cost of the tickets. If I purchased the tickets for $500, would they take into account the airline credit I received and only give me $300 Delta fund (essentially losing my airline credit from last year)? Or would I still get $500 in credit if I cancelled the tickets? |
Delta has no idea that you received $200 from Amex. You’ll get a credit based on the value of your ticket.
