Hotel: Delano
Room: Booked Delano King room
Checkin: Checked in at 3:30 PM
Upgrade: Agent said he would look for corner king, I said not necessary and would just take whatever was easiest/available.
Late Checkout: Checked out at 4 PM
Breakfast Credit: $30 per person at Della's, the coffee market in the Delano lobby, and Seabreeze Cafe.
Credits: $100 F&B credit - used at Stripsteak. Meal was $93, tip was $18 and was not removed from bill.
Note: I made the mistake of saying "whatever's easiest for you" at checkin. Was given a 15th floor room facing the pool when they had a private event with extremely loud music until 11 PM. Not the end of the world to be up late in Vegas, but would have hoped that the combination of FHR + Noir and the private event going on might have encouraged the front desk to give me a high floor or a room not facing the event. Next time, I know to ask!

If you are a family (with young kid) I'm not sure they'd mind but for the FHR breakfast, you won't get an additional $30. So you'll be splitting the $60 between 3.

No. Sit your spouse and third person in the lobby and take care of things at the Front Desk. Add the 2nd person's name to the record at the Front Desk so they can get replacement keys and charge to the room as needed.
They are way too busy to count heads standing around during check-in.

Just check in by yourself while your family waits somewhere else.

Mar 12 - Mar 13
Hotel: Conrad Las Vegas at Resorts World
Room: Premium Room, 2 Queen Beds
Checkin: 11:30am early check-in no problem
Upgrade: No upgrade. Totally understand, as it was a super busy Saturday and occupancy was at 99%. Was told they can typically upgrade on weekday stays. Also... not many upgrade options for a 2 Queen room other than to strip view anyway.
Late Checkout: Offered at check-in and accepted. Was told that my keys would definitely work until 4pm. Indeed, contrary to others' experiences my keys worked flawlessly and there was no issue checking out at 4pm.
Credits: $66 ($33 per person) breakfast credit at The Kitchen. $125 resort experience credit -- used at Wally's Wine. I'm also Honors Gold and was given an additional $50 ($25 per person) F&B credit to use at The Kitchen or Suns Out Buns Out.

The $66 breakfast credit and $50 Honors Gold F&B credit were automatically taken off of my room charges. I had to visit the front desk at checkout to get the $125 resort credit applied and they had no problem doing it.
I also redeemed for the welcome amenity of two glasses of sparkling wine at the lobby bar - nice ambience.

Overall... a much more flawless experience than others seemed to have. No issue with my keys not working at noon the next day, nor did housekeeping keep trying to come into my room on checkout day. I also didn't really have much of an issue getting my keys to work in the elevator, though I did see firsthand someone else have that issue and even a front desk agent was there trying to troubleshoot. Their elevator sensors are definitely not up to par.

Has anyone had luck with applying the $100 property credit to the resort fees at the Venetian?

Inaccurate taxes and fees on Amex Travel site?

I was looking at an FHR booking at the Delano for later this year, and something seems very off about the taxes and fees that Amex is calculating.

For the two-night stay, Amex is quoting a total room rate of $393.16, the resort fee of $88.44, and "estimated taxes and fees" of $234.02. For the same nights in the same room, the hotel's website quotes the same total room rate of $393.15, the same resort fee of $88.44, but estimated tax of $52.81 versus Amex's $234.02. The Amex site doesn't specify what goes into its calculation of "estimated taxes and fees."

Is there any chance that if I call Amex, I'll be charged the proper lower taxes, or will the agent just see the same information that's available on the website?

Hotel: Crockfords Las Vegas at Resorts World
Room: Superior Room, 1 King Bed
Check in: 10:30am early check in no problem. Beautiful lobby, I was the only one in line. Service was impeccable. Very thoughtful engagement, Jean-Michel is a consummate professional in his explanation of the property and FHR benefits.
Upgrade: Upgraded to a higher floor. Room felt huge with high ceilings.
Late Checkout: Offered but did not partake as I had an early flight.
Credits: $66 to The Kitchen. $125 resort experience credit -- used at Fuhu. Hilton gold gave $50 to the bar as well, and two complimentary wines (which I traded in for Fiji water as I was parched and not drinking at the time).

Phenomenal experience all around. I had heard the rooms were not too different from Conrad, however, I don't believe Conrad has as high of ceilings as the room I received. The difference you're paying for at Crockfords is the service. I tested their turndown service one night by calling at 8p, doing a lap in the casino and coming back at 9p. It had been done immediately, even light touches like rolling up my charging cables, arranging my shoes straight, everything was left like a brand new room. Hotel bar service is good, too, the guy that works it is the only bartender Tues-Sun so you'll get to know him. Nothing too special there though I appreciated their wide selection and free munchies. Fuhu and Wally's were each great, and I don't think you can go wrong eating on property. The only downside of this place is you've got to have very deep pockets to get the crockfords level of service when you're gambling. (The casino edge on the main floor is much higher on blackjack at 2.5% or so with $25 minimum, where you can get fair odds in the high limit, but it is $100 minimum). Another thing to note is that while there is a gated entrance to arrive (and valet is complimentary for Crockfords, not Conrad), it is nearly impossible to get a Lyft or Uber to navigate into the gated area, and I found myself picking up cabs at Conrad, a short hallway away.

Anyways, I'd love to stay here again just for the level of service I experienced. That said, I'm contemplating Conrad for my next trip in August as the price difference is simply too much for Crockfords. This trip I paid $205/night through the Amex Travel portal special (I think 30% off?), which felt like a steal (Conrad was like $120). I'm looking now for a time that is not a portal special and the price difference is $500 Crockfords vs $200 Conrad. I also like the Waldorf Astoria ($300), though the level of service and hard product is not comparable in my experience.

Hotel: NoMad Hotel Las Vegas
Room: Booked Classic King, standard view
Checkin: Checked in around 4pm on Sunday 3/27/22, no wait
Upgrade: Upgraded to Atelier Strip View King
Late Checkout: Offered 4pm, did not use
Breakfast Credit:$30 per person (2 people) at Primrose
Credits: $100 restaurant credit used at Craftsteak at MGM
Comment: I really did not like this hotel and I question whether it belongs in the FHR program instead of, say, The Hotel Collection. The staff was great, but if you are a prospective guest, I would not underestimate how "bad" the bones of the old Monte Carlo are. Soundproofing was non-existent and that caused a bunch of problems getting to sleep. It was mostly the plumbing and HVAC systems that made noise throughout the night, the former going off every time a guest flushed a toilet or turned on a sink, and the later's thermostat constantly clicking on and off, sometimes with as little as 10 seconds between cycles. The thermostat was unfortunately right next to the bed. The strip noise was also annoying but not really one of the big problems. Primrose was very good.

Hotel: Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas
Room: Booked King Superior Room
Checkin: Checked in around 4pm Monday 3/28/22, no wait
Upgrade: Upgraded to Strip View King
Late Checkout: Offered 4pm, did not use
Breakfast Credit: $30pp at Veranda or Press (which operates as a coffee stand in the mornings)
Credits: $100 spa credit, unused.
Comment: The room here was fine, maybe a tad dated in the bathroom specifically. The service though was outstanding, in particular the turndown service. We left the room a bit cluttered as we had to get to dinner and a show that evening and didn't have time to straighten up. Well, housekeeping did that for us, down to folding our clothes for us, leaving a branded microfiber lens wipe by my sunglasses, and organizing some of the makeup items my wife was working with in the bathroom. Big thumbs up from us on that, and also for the chocolate truffles they left on the counter and the two bottles of water placed on either nightstand. Veranda was also a very solid hotel breakfast, if overpriced. This was also our first time at the Mandalay complex, and we both quite liked it despite being the southern most hotel on the strip. The only negative - it gets high amounts of convention traffic given their facilities there. The "ShopTalk" people were everywhere, including the Four Seasons, and acted like they owned the place.

Booked Delano / Bellagio via FHR.

Will MGM's MLife Gold status waive my resort fees on FHR bookings?

When I checked out two weeks ago at Delano with FHR booking, I showed the agent my MGM Gold Card and the Resort fees were removed. They did come through originally even though I showed my card at check-in but removed with no problem.

You got lucky - others shouldn't expect the same. Waived resort fees are direct booking via MGM Rewards.

Just completed a couple FHR stays. One at the Delano and another at the Conrad. Both very positive experiences!

Hotel: Delano
Room: Booked a King Suite
Checkin: Checked in around 2pm on 2/12, early check in accepted
Upgrade: Upgraded to a Stay Well King Suite (Wouldn't really consider it an upgrade but hey I'll take the air purifier)
Late Checkout: Offered 4pm, accepted
Breakfast Credit:$30 per person (2 people) at Della's
Credits: $100 restaurant credit used Lobby Bar and Della's
Comment: Delano is highly underrated in my opinion. Rooms were large, clean, and modern. A quick walk to all the Mandalay pools, restaurant, and casino floor. I was able to add my Hyatt number at check in and received points about 5 days later. The FHR credits were not account for on the bill, so I had to call to have them removed. Definitely would stay again especially through FHR.

Hotel: Conrad at Resorts World
Room: Booked a Premium Room - One King Bed
Checkin: Checked in around 12pm on 3/27, early check in accepted
Upgrade:Upgraded to a Strip View King Room (Again not much of an upgrade but I'll take the improved view)
Late Checkout: Offered 4pm, accepted, willing to provide new key if I wanted to stay on the premises until my late evening flight
Breakfast Credit: $110 Total. $60 for breakfast ($30/person) through FHR, and $50 for breakfast ($25/person) through Hilton Honors Gold, Used at Suns Out Buns Out
Credits: $125 restaurant credit used at Pool Bar & Mulberry Street Pizzeria
Comment: Upon check in received the FHR letter and there were also two glasses of sparkling wine included valid the Conrad Lobby Bar. Bill was actually accurate and credits were applied correctly. Received Hilton points in 2 days. Loved the Conrad, not sure why there are any negative reviews out there. Pool is amazing, though it was closed most of the second day due to wind. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
