Anyone know how this might play out?
both I and my wife got the newer $50 off $200 Marriott offer. Its the same account - with her card as an AU. We just checked out of a Sheraton (Maui), and my card was the one on file. Day prior to checkout, my wife went to the desk to pay $200 of the charge on her card.
she only signed once for the $200, but the charge was somehow done as a $199 and $1, at least thats how its showing as pending (was weird noticed as the large purchase alert was for $199). Logged in to confirm there is a $199 and $1 pending charge.
no email yet, but I know these are taking time these days. But wondering if the $50 will credit back at all for her, either with or without her calling in. Mine should presumably credit normally. Not sure if the $200 needs to be in a single charge, or if these pending charges might charge in one transaction when it clears. Maybe I should have told her to do $250, but you know
Any thoughts?

I can confirm it does not need to be a single charge. My husband had two charges, $115 and $130. He got his $50 rebate.

$10 off of $40 at an HMSHost sit-down restaurant at an airport. On both Plat and Gold.
I typically travel by myself, so not likely to be able to rack up a $40 bill in an airport restaurant.

I've been meaning to mention this one. I was thinking that maybe if you have one at an airport where you go through regularly, you could pick up a gift card as your next transaction?

After a brief "tour" of the site, I came to the same conclusion.

Just a DP:
Booked several Delta award flights on one itinerary that resulted in ~$340 fees.
Charge originally posted as a single charge, but settled as multiple charges. This triggered the $200 airline credit and the $125 back for $300 Delta offer.
Thanks everyone for your advice.

And the Leading Hotels of the World one too: $60 back for $300+.
I seem to get hit very regularly with all the hotel ones.
The M&O one covers M&O in the US and in London, Paris, Munich, Geneva, Barcelona and Madrid.
The LHW one covers US, Canada, Mexico and Caribbean.

Should work for pre-paid, but call AmEx to be sure.
Just booked & prepaid a resort on the FHR list through AmEx Travel, got an email saying I will get the $150 credit on the $800+ booking even though the stay is weeks away. Also, think I'll be getting another $200 credit as part of my Plat benefits when booking through AmEx Travel, $100 at-hotel credit, and daily breakfast.

Yes, the $200 credit should post within a few days. The $100 at-hotel credit worked well for us as it covered parking for most of our stay.
