RIP the Amex (UK) iPad App

I've just had an email from American Express. They will be "switching off" their iPad app from 19th September. Not the end of the world but I do use the app so a little disappointed.

That’s unfortunate. I use the app all the time to check my accounts (and offers).

That’s a fair point. The Amex U.K. app does seem to be a U.K. app. Not that the website is bad on the iPad, but I prefer the app experience overall.

That's a bummer! Fair enough I use the Android app but wouldn't see a reason to stop an ipad app.

Let's hope it doesn't extend to the mobile versions!

Will you guys still have the iphone version? I do have other apps without dedicated ipad versions where the iphone one works just fine on the ipad especially when doing the 2X thing.

Just a thought.....

They've upped the profile of their smartphone apps (both iPhone and Android). I expect the long term plan is something that looks like a Fintech offering.
