Are AU fees pro-rated?

I have a USA personal Platinum card and was looking to add my wife as an AU. I know the fee is $175 "for the first three authorized users" on the personal card, but my renewals are in either December or January of each year (I'll have to look tonight). If I add her today would I pay the full $175 or a pro-rated amount? Waiting until renewal might make sense

Bumping my own thread because I finally just called CS to find out. AUs are on their own 12 month calendar it is not pro-rated to be tied to the primary account renewal timeline.

I can confirm that it works like this in my case (but I was not charged the first year).
