Booking Southwest Directly and Getting 35% Rebate
So I stupidly followed the advice of Million Mile Secret and Business Insider article on booking directly with Southwest then calling into Amex to pay with points and receive the 35% points rebate since it's a Business Platinum card.
Long story short, I did exactly what that article said to do - and Amex is not willing to give us the 35% rebate since it wasn't booked through AmexTravel (with $30 booking fee b/c it's not bookable online). They however were willing to give the 1 cent per point value however, just not the 35% rebate.
Understanably , I should have confirmed with Amex before making the purchase. It's not much, but just annoying. Anyone recently had any experiences with this?

Previous discussions here (the rebate was 50% at the time the thread began):
Booking Southwest with AMEX MR points: 50% rebate. A SCAM?
