11 days and still in progress!
 

I applied for an aspire card 11 days and have not heard back from anyone. I don't hold out much hope for an approval now. Anyone
else have to wait so long for an answer?

"Anyone else" would probably have picked up the phone and called AMEX by now.

Thanks, I did call today, and was told another 24-72 hours. I was just wondering if anyone else had to wait this long before
Getting an answer. I don't understand the process, and why it takes so long.

Anything yet? I'd like to think you've heard back by now.

After two weeks i called and spoke with a lady. She told me there was a glitch somewhere, and she had no idea how long it would take for a decision. Because of this so called "Glitch" I had her cancel the application. And she told me to apply again. I did thinking as it said " you have been pre-approved for this card" not pre qualified, but approved it would give me an answer in 30 seconds.
But no same thing happened again, it's been a week since the second application, and I haven't heard anything.
