I got the total cost a bit wrong: it's $219.45 including tax and shipping. But of course only $19.45 after the credit.

Did anyone try to buy anything using dell financing and then use the platinum cards to pay it off? Will it trigger dell credit?

Can one use credit cards to pay it off? Loans usually cannot be paid with credit cards?

My son needed a Laptop, there is a nice Inspiron 15 3000 for $400, with ten percent and two hundred dollars and good value for me.

I ended up with a color printer and something else to get to $200 last half and $200 bucks here so with a total of $440 off and few odds and ends with five dollar off add on I feel I did OK. I even had some discounted AF since I am a member since '93.

Let's see how next year plays out. I do not travel as much and since you can't use Centurion lounge when you land that benefit has been cut in half.

I do use Cruise Privilege's a couple times a year, which obviously has not been used for almost a year.

I bought a high def 27" monitor a few days ago. $360 with a $150 promo gift card. Between the $200 Dell credit and the 10% back Amex offer it was free or I expense shifted it.

Ah, forgot about the 10% offer which for me was another $76 off.

Am I confused?

Please someone in the know help me clarify things for me.
With a Biz Plat card, will we get a $100 credit twice in a calendar year ($100 in the first half and another $100 in the second half) or $200 in calendar year? If it's the latter, can it be applied to just a single purchase? I vaguely remember seeing something suggest the latter. But when I went to Amex biz plat card site it tells the former is correct. I am a bit confused here.

Thank you.

I see. Am I correct, it was $50/6mo x 2 (=$100 for a calendar year) credit earlier this year? Then the amount of credit got doubled to $100/6mo x 2. I hoped it was $200/6mo x 2....

No, scroll back to post 1 and read forward. It's always been $100 x 2.

This year, Amex increased credits on many cards. They did increase it to $200 for the first half and $200 for the second half of 2020. So yes, it was $400 total for this year.

I have a little $$ left over, and saw the Amazon Smart Plug for $24.99. Anybody have thoughts/experiences/recommendations on this product? Tia.
