Uniformed airline Pilot permitted in lounge ?

Does anyone know if a uniformed airline pilot (and AMEX Platinum Card holder) is "allowed" in the lounge ? American Airlines does NOT allow uniformed employees in the lounges, even if they are otherwise qualified and hold Admirals Club membership.

Thank you

  • Airline, airport and industry employees are not permitted to enter while in uniform or while wearing branded apparel or company/airport identification badges. This includes employees of private and corporate aircraft and charter carriers.
