Sadly, the Centurion Lounge has abandoned its original intent: an exclusive lounge for Centurion Card holders. The first lounge, I believe, opened at Las Vegas and was an exclusive oasis: offering top end drinks (I recall Johnnie Walker Blue Label being available for self-serve). The dining options were an array of dishes, freshly delivered, from the celebrity chefs of the city's finest hotels and restaurants. I am fortunate to have visited that lounge several times; before the doors were flung open to all and any Platinum Card holders. Now, the only advantage to a Centurion Card holder is complimentary champagne. Food has become a ubiquitous chicken melange of little merit. Priority Pass serves me better now. That said, most UK airline and third-party Lounges far surpass their US counterparts. I shall hope to find a recreation of that original Las Vegas Centurion Lounge arising in T3.
Are you sure it was for Centurion only? I did go there quite a while ago as Platinum (2013?), and I suspect it just wasn't advertised well at that point. More recent visits and its packed in general.

Well sort of. AMEX sent me six passes to use the lounge in Las Vegas. Several months later, wide open to all Platinum members and others could buy in at $50. And that's when they only had a Las Vegas lounge.
Not sure why AMEX would spend that kind of money, when lots of PP lounges and a terminal that is scheduled to be razed.

Where are you talking about? Because both Vegas and T3 Heathrow have 2 total PP lounges, and I'm not aware of either of those terminals being scheduled to be demolished...

Due to growing passenger numbers, Heathrow’s current proposed masterplan for the future includes the redevelopment of the Central Terminal Area to increase passenger capacity – including the demolition of Terminal 3 and Terminal 1.

Indeed. The LAS lounge opened in early 2013, by November of that year Centurion members are complaining that (example) Johnny Walker Blue is limited to one drink per cardholder.

Recently (April 2019) used the Centurion lounge at Philadelphia. As a Centurion, I was escorted to a reserved table inside the lounge. Not a separate section, but the table(s) were exclusively for Centurion card holders. I also received table service from the lounge staff. Policed as well. Another member of staff enquired as to my eligibility to sit at that very table.
Same trip, at MIA - no such service!

Well, 2019 came and went...
One Mile At A Time seems to peg it as "first half of 2020", but no sources to back it up.
Had a predictably frustrating in-app chat about it, where badly spelled responses ranged from "available in late 2019" to "please call Lounge Club for more information" until finally we got to "we don't have a definitive opening date at this time".
