Close to 200k MR points, which airline for travel from USA to Okinawa?

The daughter, SIL and grandkids have been stationed to Okinawa for the next three years
Thinking of transferring all/some to either NH or SQ
Not sure when we might travel but planning to go at least once per year and there may be 3 of us going
not looking to fly 1st, business would be great but most likely will have to do premium economy
Live on East coast

ETA: or possibly Marriott and buy TP

Any thoughts

If you can find a cash business class fare for $2000 or less, you can get the amex business credit card, use amextravel to buy that ticket with points (which will earn you miles/status), and get 35% points refunded.

In my experience, NH has some of the best premium reward class deals. You can only redeem round-trips though.

NH is low overall with the caveat that you need to book a round trip. With the current VS bonus you can book RT as well for even less (only to TYO). However, you're at the mercy of award space availability. I don't know how that works with your schedule.

NH is ideal in terms of mileage required, but in addition to the round trip requirement, there are some quirks to be aware of. Namely:
- You can cancel for a penalty of 3,000 miles, but you cannot change airlines or routings - only dates and times. You must cancel and rebook instead.
- You can book 355 days out, not 330-ish like most US programs. This is fantastic because you get first crack at availability.
- The transfer from Amex is not immediate - takes a day or so. And ANA will not allow you to put awards on hold.
- Hefty fuel surcharges on some partner airlines when using ANA miles, though not so much when flying ANA’s own metal.

Why not transfer it to Virgin Atlantic to fly on ANA?
120k for a first class round trip NYC to Tokyo
with the 30% bonus that currently exists (think it is still on) that translates to 92.3k points for a RT in First
ANA (NH) Redemptions using VS Flying Club points
