New Centurion Benefit: The Private Suite at LAX/ATL (coming soon to DFW/MIA)

I put benefit in quotes because it's not free!

www.theprivatesuite.com/centurion

Looks pretty cool and offers a pretty effortless experience at LAX.

Too bad I'm not LAX based otherwise it's a membership I might actually consider getting.

The $7500 membership fee is waived for Cent holders so you just pay a per use fee.

Would love to see something similar at SFO

Any idea what the pay per use fee is? Does it say?

There are slightly better rates for Centurion but it's still a benefit that's not for everyone.

I've used a similar service at LHR when traveling with some senior execs from one of my customers and they were beyond duly impressed.

I'm curious about the private immigration processing. I wonder if they meet your int'l flight at the gate then drive you to their terminal for processing?

Regardless, good to see some added value to the card.

There is a discount from the posted Members rates, in addition to eliminating the need to pay the membership fee?

USA Centurion Benefit LAX The Private Suite

A new USA Centurion Benefit offer is use of the LAX The Private Suite for $2,000-$3,000. I think it should be free for Centurion card holders at least once. The Private Suite in my opinion is trying to copy Lufthansa First Class Terminal in Munich. I think Lufthansa is far better and they include the FCT in your First class ticket. I am not sure who will use this at LAX except movie studios who will bury the cost in their T&E budgets.

This "benefit" was listed in the "Centurion offers in September" email that I received yesterday.

It states that "Centurion is making member access and profoundly preferential pricing available to you for a full year." Then an asterisk to a footnote with the statement that the $7500 membership fee is waived and benefits for Centurion members are available for bookings and travel through September 28, 2108. Members must pay a use fee at time of booking.

Not sure what happens after the year if the Centurion member wanted to continue to be a member. Also not sure if the "profoundly preferential pricing" is different from what is shown on their publicly accessible website or even better pricing for this first year. You have to sign up with a one-time use offer code (provided in the email) at https://theprivatesuite.com/centurion/ to be contacted.

I predict the demise of The Private Suite as we know it today. I think they will cut a deal with a major international carrier or a movie studio at deep discount

Wouldn't you think they had lined up corporate accounts, at contract rates, before opening, and that selling memberships to individuals is just extra revenue?

the 13 exclusive-use suites will always be exclusive-use
The Private Suite continues to do deals on annual/use fees

game changer for USA (hopefully more to come in USA) >
tarmac transfer (2nd after DL?) international (1st) private terminal (1st)
optional exclusive-use suites (1st) and other services included in fees
beats LH FCT, along lines of paid VVIP at FRA/MUC/etc, but not a la carte
unknown re quality of complimentary F&B/massage/etc for members(/cent)

yes, for all flights, from and to (unlike LH FCT IIRC)

heathrow by invitation? is it always exclusive-use lounge?

they hired two people from heathrow >
run by two leaders recruited from London’s Heathrow Airport: Danny Sloan directed all VIP services at Heathrow and Steve Gargaro managed The Windsor Suite. Leading our hospitality team is Vikram Sood, formerly with Four Seasons and The Ritz Carlton.
LHR, LAX (& maybe china) are expensive for VVIP, vs much less elsewhere

Signature offers it (for commercial pax) at LGW, hope to see that expand

Agreed. I got a quote Cent "special rate" for a connecting flight a while back and it was like $3k for connecting service to an international flight. A bit silly to be fair. If it was <$1k there could be more takers and would be a good "benefit". Or say $500 per person, arrival, departure or connection.
