Downgrade or keep EDP

I have been meaning to downgrade my EDP for 2 years now. It was my main pointa cow due to the 1.5x on general and I didn't have problem hitting 30 transactions.

because i play the sign up bonuses, I do have months gaps here and there. This year I got the Delta Platinum and all year's spending will go there.

Should I finally downgrade my EDP? Only thing keeping me is nit being able to get the 10k regular sign up. Renewal is now. My other spending cards are Amex Platinum and Chase Hyatt for non-amex places. Anticipated spend is around 30-40k on cards.

You would have to do the math for it. Compared to the points earned with the annual fee free Amex ED, do the points earned justify the annual fee of the EDP? That is something that you would need to figure out specific to your situation and spending patterns.

The points wouldn't be worth it in the long run and I don't know if I'll ever apply directly for the ED. Just if I don't want to keep the Delta PLatinum, I will not have a points earning card (since I am dropping Gold PRG as well) and I don't have any Chase UR nor plan to get. This leavel the 1x Platinum and the 1.2x ED (2.4x on supermarkets).

again... provided I am dissatisfied with Delta AND I don't want to switch to AA for the high annual spend for EQD waivers. So I'll most likely downgrade the ED.
