Do you think there might be a subliminal message encoded in those dots and dashes on the drywall?

Seriously, for those FTers who know about construction, how far along does this photo signal the lounge is to you?

My Little Orphan Annie decoder ring just says “Be Sure To Drink Your Ovaltine.” I don't get it.

yeah, looks like the opening got pushed out to the "fall" per an article on boardingare.

"American Express tells me that they’re on track for a Fall opening, but they don’t have a specific date yet. Specific dates are never firm until inspections are completed and permits issued."

And this is PHL we're talking about, so there's that.

+1

I think it took DL 10+ months to build their club in A and then again for their current club in D. I think it took 2 months for the UA club to simply get new bathrooms.

I'd peg the opening of the CL for somewhere between Sept-Dec.

Thanks to all for the input on CL opening in PHL. Now I'll know not to go looking for it in August.

To Ratamacue, I think the coded message in the photo you took said "Not opening in August."

Just be glad A-West is in Tinicum Township. If it were in the city, you'd be waiting til 2032.

As far as we know the lounge is still under construction, and an opening date has not been announced.

I've mentioned the delay in the PHL thread; it's now on track for "Fall":

I am at the LGA Centurion lounge now. Was talking to the lounge host about how Centurion is a breath of fresh air in LGA and he asked me if I ever travel thru PHL. I said I didn't really. He Told me he is opening a Centurion lounge there next month and you should make an effort to travel PHL to see it because it will be really nice and he was very excited about it. He didn't provide any other details.

American Airlines Bets Big on Philadelphia While Making Cuts to JFK

American Airlines will soon add several transatlantic routes from its Philadelphia hub while making large cuts to its international network at New York’s JFK. Today, American announced routes from Philadelphia to Budapest (BUD) and Prague (PRG).

Both routes will begin May 4th, 2018...

As Philadelphia sees transatlantic growth, American will be making serious cuts to its JFK hub. American will cut one of two daily flights to Paris (CDG), cease service to Manchester, and move its Zurich route to Philadelphia...

The article about new international routes is especially relevant for this thread because the Amex lounge will be located in the international terminal (connected airside with the domestic terminals).
