Also check Delta.com: Sometimes better offers might be available there.

The Amex referral page has a 60K offer for the Delta Personal card.

There are several 60, 000 miles offers for the personal card with the first year annual fee waived the first year, valid through May 1, 2019. They are listed in this referral thread. These are way better than the current standard public offer of 30,000 miles shown on Delta's website

Gold Personal:

A post on Reddit suggests that you can find a 50K offer, but with a $100 credit, by doing a dummy booking on Delta.com.
The offer should appear before you have to pay for the flight. [Did [b]not work when I booked a flt today, 3/15/17.]

Note: Review the recent discussion in the thread about various other ways to try to locate offers as high as 50k+$50 credit.

Getting the statement credit:
MrMoonlight successfully purchased a Delta ecert (essentially a gift card) and received the statement credit. See this post..
Jacobsta811 also received $50 credit for $50 e-cert on both gold business and gold personal cards.
muji received $100 credit for $50 eCert on Delta Platinum card
sdsearch received $100 credit for $50 eCert on business Platinum card (see this post).
vah4883 received $100 credit for $5.6 tax on Platinum card

I just wanted to know how long this usually takes in this "awaiting transfer" status.
So the miles have finally been posted to my account this week. About 8 weeks since spending met.

Still no bonus miles...I'm beginning to think it may be a while.
Just got a apparently "targeted" email offer, since it has my name attached. 40K Delta miles for a no AF the first year, AMEX Delta Gold Card. I've had this card (twice?) before, so I searched the T/C for the once per lifetime language, and didn't see it. I've still got the Delta miles from previous offers, bc they are virtually worthless, but they don't expire, and this offer has no AF the first year. Tempted to apply, since after my Citi AA app next week, I've got nothing, and I do mean NOTHING, in the pipeline. A meager $1K spend will cost me @$14 in MS, and adds another 40K miles to my "worthless" Delta account.

Who knows, maybe one day I'll find a way to use those miles, which have essentially cost me nothing. And as of today, not even costing me 'opportunity' costs, since I've got nothing else to apply for right now.

Anyone know if I'm right that there is no "lifetime" language in this offer, and any advice on whether or not to go for it, even if there is no such language in it?

Do note that AmEx terms and conditions often specifically exclude gift card purchases and other types of MS from crediting toward sign-up bonuses. You may get lucky and have them count anyways but it's far fro ma given that it will work.

A lot of the people who get these offers after having the card end up having to fight for the miles, even when there's no lifetime language in the terms.

I applied for a Business Delta Reserve Card today but was instantly declined. I have a Bankruptcy from Dec 2009 which I assume was the reason why I was declined.

Should I speak with them about the decision, or try again for a Personal card, or should I wait to try again until after the Bankruptcy clears?

I applied for and was approved for the Delta Gold Amex card with 30k Skymiles bonus last week and saw today that the bonus is now 70k. Any chance of getting the new bonus?

I have no firsthand knowledge, but I have heard it said that Amex is more lenient with approvals to charge cards (like the Amex-branded Gold card or Platinum card, but none of the Delta cards) than to credit cards, since a charge card is supposed to be paid off each month and doesn't have a fixed credit limit. So given that your credit is challenged, it might be worth trying for a charge card first and using it and paying it down regularly to build up some trust with Amex, and then applying for credit cards later. I don't know for sure if that would work, but it seems like your best bet. That said I might wait at least 6-12 months after your rejection before applying for a charge card as following up one rejection with another immediate application may not be a useful approach.

There are also various other credit card-focused message boards on the Internet (not on Flyertalk) where people talk more obsessively about topics like this and you might be able to get a more informed (or at least more obsessive) opinion.

Amex generally does not match offers. Where do you see the offers?

In my understanding, if American Express is one of the creditors you will need to repay the debt to be considered for a new account.

Amex Delta - Business Card?

TPG posted about higher points offers for opening the Amex Delta Plat Biz card. I've previously had, earned bonus, and cancelled the *personal* *gold* Amex delta card (within last 12 months). How does Amex handle eligibility for bonus points when it's a similar but different edition card (Gold vs Plat), and/or if it's personal vs biz?

Personal and Business are separate products. Earning a bonus on one has no bearing on eligibility for the other.

I received a 70,000 mile bonus offer for delta gold card in the mail, with waived AF the first year and a $50 statement credit. Is this about the best their deals ever get? I don't really need another card, and living in the Bay Area, rely more on southwest and united. but 70k is 70k.

I believe that is the best for the gold. I got that in May and already finished it off and got the miles. My last Delta gold was 2ish years ago.

For the 50% back offer, the terms and conditions state that gift cards are no eligible.
Is this actually the case? I need $113 more spend to max out the 50%.
