Also check Delta.com: Sometimes better offers might be available there.

The Amex referral page has a 60K offer for the Delta Personal card.

The following offers for up to 70K on personal and business:

https://www.delta.com/content/www/en....html#Platinum

valid through 04/11/2018

There are several 60, 000 miles offers for the personal card with the first year annual fee waived the first year, valid through May 1, 2019. They are listed in this referral thread. These are way better than the current standard public offer of 30,000 miles shown on Delta's website

Delta Amex Gold personal card: 50k+10k miles + $50 statement credit, $2,000 spend, $95 annual fee waived the first year

Gold Personal:
"Earn 60,000 bonus miles after you make $2,000 in purchases on your new Card within your first 3 months and $1000 more w/in 6 months and a $50 statement credit after you make a Delta purchase with your new Card within your first 3 months."
https://www.americanexpress.com/us/c...elta-skymiles/

A post on Reddit suggests that you can find a 50K offer, but with a $100 credit, by doing a dummy booking on Delta.com.
The offer should appear before you have to pay for the flight. [Did [b]not work when I booked a flt today, 3/15/17.]

Gold Business:

Note: Review the recent discussion in the thread about various other ways to try to locate offers as high as 50k+$50 credit.

Getting the statement credit:
MrMoonlight successfully purchased a Delta ecert (essentially a gift card) and received the statement credit. See this post..
Jacobsta811 also received $50 credit for $50 e-cert on both gold business and gold personal cards.
muji received $100 credit for $50 eCert on Delta Platinum card
sdsearch received $100 credit for $50 eCert on business Platinum card (see this post).
vah4883 received $100 credit for $5.6 tax on Platinum card

This means eight weeks from the date of the statement on which the qualifying spend appeared, not from the individual transaction date. Have any credits posted to your account?

OK - well if the 8 weeks start from the statement close then I have 3 more weeks. Just frustrating when Amex bonuses usually post within days, so when they don't it seems that something has gone wrong and a battle is in store to get the points.

No credits, and I am well over the spend requirement by 20% or so. The Amex phone rep confirmed the spend was met back in March.

The points did post on their own. In summary: my wife applied for the Delta Gold Personal and Delta Plat Business cards on 3/4 and 3/11 and used two single federal tax payments to satisfy each spend requirement. The points posted around 5/9 and 5/16 without any actions required on my side.

Almost the exact same timing and circumstances here. I was concerned because my first statement didn’t reflect the bonus and I called and one agent said the tax payment didn’t count. The next agent said they did and to wait. They posted this past week with the May statement.

I received a mailer yesterday for a delta personal gold card for 60K miles for $2000 spend. I can't find the lifetime language anywhere...it only mentions abusing, misuse, or gaming in conjunction with this offer and says only the person solicited for the offer is eligible. Any chance this will get around the lifetime restriction?

It's very possible. Amex has been known to send targeted offers which waive the lifetime restriction. I got one for the relaunched Gold card last year and did receive the bonus despite not meeting the lifetime restriction on the standard public offer.

The website also warns you now if you're about to apply for a card where you don't meet the lifetime or gaming restrictions, so if you apply online with the targeted offer and don't get a pop-up you're most likely good.

Yea, that's what I'm counting on. I'll try in a couple of weeks and see how it goes.

In the last 18 months i got targeted 6 times for different products that didn't have the "once in a lifetime" language and received the bonus on each one of them, make sure to read the terms on the mailer and on the application page, copy the terms of the offer into your computer for future reference, the terms should have the offer code at the top.

OK, thanks. When I go to apply, I'll look for the lifetime language there.

I received an offer in the mail for the 60k miles/2k spend. My SkyMiles number was printed on it (and no 'once in a lifetime bonus' language included).

I applied for the card online and got approved.

Can I assume that I will receive my welcome bonus, given that I did not get a pop up informing me that I'm ineligible for the welcome bonus?
It would be very misleading and unethical of Amex to not grant the miles. It was, after all, a targeted offer with my Delta SkyMiles number linked to it.

Targeted offers without the previous cardholder restriction are common. Scroll back just a few posts in this thread, and also see here:

How common are targeted offers without once-in-a-lifetime language?

Both signup bonus and normal earned miles have not posted 10 days after statement closing. Statement shows miles earned correctly. Looks like a flight is in store to get these miles. Sigh...

Bus Gold Delta - using before getting it?

Hey

I am thinking about applying for the card in the next couple of days. I have a flight on Tuesday with Delta so I won't get the card in time but will I still be able to get the free bag benefit?

Also, does the business delta gold show on my personal report? does it count toward 5/24 Chase?

Thanks!

Possibly. The card needs to be synced with your Delta account, which should happen within 48 hours but isn't a certainty.

No (unless you miss a payment or something) and no.

If you apply, make sure to get the best available offer. There are about four different offers out there right now for this card, ranging from 30,000 miles to 70,000 miles.

Thank you Joe. I guess I will do it today and hope for the best.
