Also check Delta.com: Sometimes better offers might be available there.

The Amex referral page has a 60K offer for the Delta Personal card.

The following offers for up to 70K on personal and business:

There are several 60, 000 miles offers for the personal card with the first year annual fee waived the first year, valid through May 1, 2019. They are listed in this referral thread. These are way better than the current standard public offer of 30,000 miles shown on Delta's website

Gold Personal:

A post on Reddit suggests that you can find a 50K offer, but with a $100 credit, by doing a dummy booking on Delta.com.
The offer should appear before you have to pay for the flight. [Did [b]not work when I booked a flt today, 3/15/17.]

Note: Review the recent discussion in the thread about various other ways to try to locate offers as high as 50k+$50 credit.

Getting the statement credit:
MrMoonlight successfully purchased a Delta ecert (essentially a gift card) and received the statement credit. See this post..
Jacobsta811 also received $50 credit for $50 e-cert on both gold business and gold personal cards.
muji received $100 credit for $50 eCert on Delta Platinum card
sdsearch received $100 credit for $50 eCert on business Platinum card (see this post).

Which department should I call up? The main number is a waste of time between clueless offshore people and so called mainland "supervisors".
Whether the advertisement came from Amex or Delta, it shouldn't matter if there's no lifetime language in the terms. It's also poor form for Amex to allow such mailers to go to people who are ineligible for the offer.

People seem to have the best luck with the AskAmex Twitter account.

I've fought that battle with both American Express and Capital One, sending personalized offer mailers for cards I already have or have had. Most recently it was Capital One sending me a 60K for $3K spend Venture mailer literally four weeks after opening a Venture for 50K and $3K spend. Asked them to match (I had already hit the spend) and they said they don't do that per the cardholder agreement. I read it word for word, it said nothing of the sort, but I wasn't going to fight over 10K "miles".

For Amex, it was opening the DL Platinum for 45K/15K MQM/$1K spend and then getting the recent 70K offer in the mail a month later. In that case, I didn't care a ton because I probably couldn't swing the $3K min spend of that offer at the time, but it is poor form none the less.

I periodically get flyers in the mail for the DL AmEx card with 60k miles offered. I had the card a long time ago - originally more than 10+ years ago. Anyone with experience on how far back they track? Currently have no other AmEx cards (gave up SPG personal and business within the last couple of years).

Does it have lifetime language?

I applied for the Delta Skymiles Platinum Personal (public offer, never had the Skymiles Platinum before) and received 70,000 miles after hitting $3,000 spend. However, it's been a few days since I purchased a $100 Delta eGC (from the desktop browser) but have not had the $100 credit post. Is that normal? Was a $100 eGC purchase unwise, and should I try again at the $50 level?

If anyone's been in a similar situation, would appreciate a data point!

The $100 credit is for any Delta purchase, it isn't like the airline credits on the unbranded Amex Platinum where you need to trick the system with $50 eGCs to make it work, so any gift card denomination should be fine. Give it a few more days.

In my case, I paid the taxes and fees on an 11,500 SM award ticket ($5.60) on the night of the 29th, the transaction posted on the 1st, the credit posted on the 3rd. That was a ticket purchase though which obviously has the built in delay between purchase and officially posting to fulfill the 24 hour cancellation period. Not sure if gift cards follow the same schedule, but I'd give it 2-3 days after it officially goes to posted. If it doesn't show after that, just contact Amex, you shouldn't need to repurchase another GC as that's a qualifying purchase for the credit.

Im in contact with amex twitter kids. So far bot-like responses, so I snapped few pictures of the card and its terms. Waiting for resolution on my ticket as well. Probably won't get me anywhere but worth a try.

I read through the terms and conditions, but it does not state anything about already receiving the bonus for the same card. Has Amex changed their one bonus per lifetime rule? Are there any data points on someone receiving this targeted bonus and sucessfully getting the miles?
Data Point Update: I met the spend requirement and received the 60,000 Points a couple days later.

Can anyone who had Delta Gold before and got gold60K targeted offer in the mail (which didn't have "lifetime bonus" condition) that bonus miles poster to their accounts?
Its all over blogs but I can't get amex to honor it.

Just got the 60K mailer without the "lifetime bonus" language. Does that mean I could get a different DL card with a bonus at a later date?

Thumbs up

Thank you RumPatrol, as you predicted, the $100 reimbursement posted for my eGC purchase automatically.

Delta Sky Miles Bonus not Honored

I'm wondering if I'm getting played here by AMEX, or what?

I signed up for the AMEX Delta Platinum last October with the $3,000/70,000 miles bonus plus $100 statement credit if I spend money on a Delta purchase within that same time period.

Here it is, 5/13/18 - there hasn't been a single bonus mile credited to my account, nor has any of my statement credits (two $50 gift cards) been credited to my account.

At first the reps told me to wait the entire three months "because the miles would post then." And then when that didn't happen, they "started an investigation" which is supposed to take 6-8 week... Well that was about three months ago and the investigation is "still open."

Anyone else have these issues?

I have moved your question into the thread where scrolling back will find similar problems. See also:

1. Have you ever before held the same card?
2. How did you receive the offer, by USPS, email or "found" on the Internet?
