Yes I've had the same experience lately. It used to post within 24 hours but my last two large purchases had a three day wait for the 1.5x.

Same experience here.

If anyone has an update on this, I welcome the information.

1 week+ now...

The MR rep I talked to on Monday cited IT upgrades, but I am skeptical.

10 days for me now. I would like the credits before the end of the month so I can cash in before the rules change.

Same here. I am 99% sure they changed system. They also give 50% back on flight redemption; used to post 2 days after purchase. But now they explicitly say the 50% back will be in 6-8 weeks, and I haven't got 50% back on a ticket purchased last month.

This post is regarding earning 1.5MR points for purchases over $5,000. Not to be confused with redemption of points at 50% or 35% rate.

Previous to mid April 2017, bonus points would be earned in the following way.

$5,000 spend = 5000 base points show up on following statement, 2500 bonus points would typically show up almost immediately within 1 -2 days

After mid April 2017

$5,000 spend on Tuesday = 7500 total points all show up on following statement

This is an official change according to MR folks. The Centurion people didn't know about the change.

I made a couple $5000+ purchases on this card a little over a week ago and the 50% MR bonus still hasn't posted. The last time I made a $5000+ purchase was in March, and the 50% bonus posted in 1 or 2 days, according to transaction history. Did AMEX change when the 50% posts recently?

Yes they made a change. It now doesn't post until the next billing statement ends.

I moved DaveInLA's post into this thread because I found the answer. He hasn't yet had an opportunity to review the thread.

Thanks for finding this for me.

I think April was also when this same card started delaying the 50% flight rebate as well, right?

Are the 1.5 bonus amounts still itemized or are they simply combined with the original ($5,000+) charge?
