UK's Payment Systems Regulator reaffirms American Express is not exempted from interchange fee caps

Regulator confirms it's provisional findings that American Express and the payment service providers participating in its scheme were subject to the interchange fee caps UK domestic transactions between 9-Dec-15 and 31-Mar-16. Cites American Express' market share was above the 3% threshold

Confirms that American Express' market share was above 3% during 2015. This means that it must comply with the interchange fee caps from 1-Apr-16 to 31-Mar-17
