C+ was reimbursed yesterday (1/4) after purchase of C+ happened Monday (1/3).

C+ was $139/person and reimbursement was $139 and $61 respectively.

Ahh...and my distaste for that approach to exploiting the credit is now renewed.

I have yet to understand why people are so eager to pay $450/yr for a travel-oriented credit/charge card when they apparently do not travel enough to make even marginally legitimate uses of the related benefits.

There are several additional issues with livestrongforever's understanding of DL's Comfort+ and "Premium Select" offerings that I won't even go into.

No doubt there are instances of that, but there are also those who collect miles in USA programs to redeem for travel on flights operated by alliance partners, and in those circumstances it is difficult to use the credits because the benefit is restricted to domestic USA airlines.

Fair point, and I'll admit I have no idea if non-US versions of the Amex Platinum/PRG/etc. cards also provide the airline fee credit (if they do, my question would be more along the lines of why Amex restricts those non-US-issued cards to US airlines).

Still, though, the poster I was initially responding to claims to be based in/around SFO. Not exactly a place devoid of US-based airlines on which to find at least a mariginally legitimate way to use the credit.

Happy new year! Are there any data point for $50*4 eGC reimbursed in 2017?

Got the Plat Business card in December and bought C+ seat for roundtrip LAX-PVG. Delta charged $99 x2 for C+ and AMEX reimburses $99 x2. I just did the same route again a couple days ago and Delta is now charging $198 in a single charge (still pending). Will this amount affect AMEX reimbursement?

It shouldn't, since it's for a legitimate ancillary charge. If, for whatever reason, Amex doesn't reimburse, a quick call and a copy of the receipt should be enough to resolve the issue.

Looked at an account and the 4 purchases made on 12/31 posted with a date of 1/1 and none of the 4 DL charges for $50 came with any reimbursement yet. Is this within the range of normal?
