First Time Credit User

Hi, I've read through the forum history and I wanted to clarify that I'm understanding the workaround properly as this is my first time utilizing the Aspire $250.

Purchased GC for $50
Purchased DL flight for $368 using $50 GC and Aspire (still have full credit for the year available)
Purchase is currently pending as Delta Air for $318... I'm hoping that $250 of that is reimbursed since it was a split tender transaction.

Is this correct? Or does my total cost after the GC need to be under the remaining credit amount, ie in this case, $250. Meaning the max amount I could spend on a flight only using the GC and Aspire credit would be $299.

TIA for your responses.

This probably won't work as the amount you put on your aspire needs to be smaller than 250

Less than $200, IME.

$59 not 56. It will work as long as you still available travel credit.

hi! Did you buy the mile booster via app/phone or computer? Thanks for your time!

Bought mile booster through computer but I really donít think it matter if you were to purchase through your mobile app. I just want to be safe LoL

Got it. Just bought a $59 mileage booster. Now I got a question for everyone! Can I buy multiple mileage boosters for my trip? Making 5 stops for my trip and I can do a mileage booster for EACH stop for $59. I have $200 for my AMEX Plat and $250 for my Hilton Aspire. Can I use both cards and use the mileage booster to get 15,000 miles for around $300 using my airline credit? Obviously both AMEX cards will have Delta as the selected airline. Also, any datapoint on upgrading seats from Main Cabin to Comfort one? Trying to spend all of my travel credit! thank you so much for your help everyone!

Searched and couldn't find any data points. Would a Sky Club membership trigger the $250 credit?

Yes, airline lounge memberships/passes are part of the original intended use.

I just noticed on delta.dumb that you can buy a bundle consisting of priority boarding and a wifi pass (for a domestic DL flight). It's listed under the place where there's information about the mileage boost option to buy RDMs in association with a flight. This *might* be a way to buy wifi and use the DL AmEx credit. The priority boarding is probably the same zone as a nonelite with a DL AmEx card would get, probably called zone 1 but in reality it's about the third or fourth group to board.

If someone tries this, please report back.

How many mileage boosters are offered per dollar spent? Any data point

Thanks. I was within the 24 hour cancellation period so I canceled and bought departure and return separately with two separate GC. Each ticket was $120 and $130 after the GC's, so hopefully, the credit is triggered. Still showing as a pending Delta Airlines purchase right now, but from what I read that seems to be normal.

@ Diplomatico Thanks. I canceled and played it safe with $120 and $130 tickets. Fingers crossed.

DL currently is offering 3,000 additional RDMs for $59 (not sure whether tax is charged on this), or 1,000/2,000 for $29/$44 respectively. [Note the nonlinear prices, as expected.] You can add it to a ticket at purchase or anytime before flying, apparently by clicking a link in the PNR.

Are airline credits being clawed back if you buy a refundable fare split with gc and later cancel the flight after credit posts?
