Is there a rule of thumb for what that max should be before it doesn't trigger the airline credit? still have 250 on my Aspire and looking to use before the end of the year.
Looking for OW ticket that's about 300-350 in price. I have a $50 GC. I've tried looking through the thread, and unfortunately couldn't find something that was specific to my situation. |

I think most of the success reports have been under $200 and maybe one just above $200, IIRC. I also vaguely remember not getting reimbursed (not that I was expecting to) for something like $400+ in additional collection, so *large* amounts probably do not work. There's a lack of data in between though...

Has anyone tried to use a credit from their Delta Wallet, combined with the additional collection? If so, can you choose how much of a voucher to use or must it be in full before it prompts for an Amex to pay the balance?

Will buying a 100 dollar gift card from Delta sky clubs be reimbursed?

I have used this strategy to apply $455 total on two separate Hilton Aspire cards to airfare. However, I recently purchased a $379 Comfort+ fare and used a $100 Delta GC. My remaining $45 credit was not applied to the $279 balance.

Just to be clear, you split $455 across the two cards, and both sides of the transaction received the credit?
Three previous small one way airfare transactions have all worked I had $45 in credit left on one of the cards |

Is the gift card plus pay with card dead? I purchased a round trip ticket on 10/18 for $278.60 with $50 gift card so the total charged to Hilton Aspire was $228.60. the meter I have left of $220 has not moved and I have not revecied the credit, 10/24. It is showing up as "additional collection" in the details. Even tho I purchased the ticket on 10/18 it shows it was completed on 10/20. Is there a certain time frame I should wait or did I do something wrong?

I'm on the same boat, same dates, was hoping it credited today but nothing yet.
2 separate one ways with $50 gift cards on each bringing total to $196.00 last weekend. Nada.. Not sure how to get rid of the $250 credit at this point. |
Can you purchase a Basic Economy and then later on change it to Main Cabin? Will that purchase be reimbursed?
