Thanks! Our first guinea pig. Now we just need somebody to test out basic economy fare, to see if they actually receive priority boarding. Thanks again 😊

This is giving me an idea: If one still has some DL airline credit remaining at the end of the year, can/should one add a mileage booster (more RDMs) to the last ticket or last flight before NYE? I've never even looked at mileage boosters because (unlike on some other airlines) you can't get MQMs and I don't rally need more RDMs at disadvantageous prices, but this could be a last chance way to use those credits.

Does anyone know when it becomes too late to add the mileage booster to tickets and how finely you can tune the amount needed?

I just bought one for a trip I'm taking on Thursday. Increments of $20 for 1,000 Skymiles per increment (0.5 cpp). Not a good value, but I couldn't think of a way to use the credit on my gold this year.

Please report back to confirm that AmEx reimbursed these fees.

BTW, $20.00 for 1,000 RDMs would be two cents per mile.

Is it linear pricing, so that 2,000 RDMs would cost $40.00 etc. with no quantity discounts?

That is correct, no quantity discounts, at least on my short domestic flight. I will of course post if/when the statement credit arrives.

Worked for his Platinum. Mine is on my Gold. Hopefully in a couple of days I'll get the credit also.

Statman Oct 22, 19 12:07 pm

Skymiles Select also reimbursed.

yeah but the original purchase was made on my platinum card. Delta sent the refund to the Amex Premier awards gold card my wife must have purchased the gift card with 2 years ago. Definitely don’t think they can claw that back.

While this is related to the Saks credit, it is at least one data point that Amex can and will claw back if they really want to.

Bought the Delta Sykmile Select pass for $59.00 to max out my $200 AMEX airline credit for 2019.

In 2020 - may switch to SWA as nonrefundable tickets under $100.00 unto $200 airline credit are reimbursed.

So you think Skymiles Select is my best choice left to spend $53.00

As mentioned in the thread in the Delta forum:

https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/delt...t-program.html

the T&C explicitly state that "Membership and benefits are valid for 365 days starting the day after customer enrollment."

Hi everyone, so, what options do we have at this point to spend the $200 credit without flying?

Perhaps you can do a little light reading in all the threads you've posted this identical question in. All the info is there for you.

Not sure if new DP or not but I wasn't expecting a credit on this.

I bought two round trip tickets 10/18 using my Amex Gold, each 50,000 miles plus $94.85 in taxes/fees. These were coded by Amex as additional collections. 10/23 I received one credit for $94.85 and a second credit for $5.15.
