This is normal. But note the Wiki guidance that amounts over $50 will not generate the credit. Wait a few days, and report back if you received 1 reimbursement as expected.

This is just my wild speculation

Amex has to know about the delta loophole but probably looks the other way since they’re exclusive with DL. They probably have a backdoor deal with WN too since there’s literally nothing you can use the credit for I would think besides buying a two dozen margaritas on board

Did you do the purchase in $50 e-gift increments? If not, that’s the problem.

Nope, I learned my lesson. Haha

Me, too. I have also been doing this for years, and I had to re-read the original post this year to see what I apparently had forgotten over the last year! :o

I bought four $50 gift cards recently via desktop and they have posted as LAX-LAX flights as well. Sounds like something might be up here? (Or maybe I need to wait longer, they posted on 29th).

I bought 2x50 on 4/29, initially listed as 100 then switched to two separate 50 transactions on 4/30. Still waiting on the credit.

The time to make the purchase is in the first three months right?

This is the Delta Skymiles Platinum.

thanks

Does the DL Amex Platinum now includes airline credit?

I've seen the LAX-LAX transaction credited back to the statement after 3 days.

It's part of the new account introductory offer: In addition, earn a $100 statement credit after you make a Delta purchase with your new Card within your first 3 months.

thanks, hopefully it will post either tomorrow or Monday.

Just posted for me, so looks like still working. :)

I got the LAX-LAX treatment on April 30. Only dipped my toe in the water as an experiment and bought one $50 gift card.

Still no reimbursement. Will report back...

For the new account signup offers: But doesn't this not actually require a $100 purchase? I thought there were prior reports of people buying a $7 sandwich on board and receiving the full $100 statement credit. It's not a dollar-for-dollar reimbursement like the annual credits primarily being discussed here.

Seems like they caught on...

That's totally normal. Mine have always posted as LAX-LAX flights (even with ticket numbers) and they've always been credited by Amex.

By the way, I highly doubt that it's an issue of Amex "catching on." It's all but impossible that Amex hasn't known about this for many, many years.
