Amex UK SPG rejected - Credit Score 999
 
Hi all,

I've been with Amex UK for 2 years and currently have a Gold Rewards.
My Experian Credit Score is 999 and an income well beyond the 35k minimum requirement.

I have applied for an SPG card recently and have been REJECTED by Amex !

Called up the represenative and he was no help, provided no extra info.

- Anybody knows why this could be the case ?

- Can you hold multiple cards with Amex UK ?

- Any tips ?

What was the stated reason for the rejection? If there wasn't one, have you received a formal rejection letter through the post?

Hi Mia,

Received a letter through the post and it didn't explain the reason.

Just generic banking babble ...

You can hold multiple Amex cards in the UK. Did you check with noodle and see what your rating is with them.

Amex is odd. My wife is continually turned down for Gold despite being a leading City financier - but she still got BA and SPG cards inbetween Gold rejections.

Limit is 2 credit and 2 charge per person so no problem on that front.
