Policy Changes effective March 22, 2019

NOTE: FOR PLATINUM CARD MEMBERS ONLY

The Centurion Lounge is a day of departure lounge. We will not admit arriving Platinum Card Members with boarding passes for flights that have just landed. We will admit Platinum Card Members with layovers or connecting flights who produce proof of connecting flight.

We will not admit Platinum Card Members more than 3 hours before the departure time on the Platinum Card Member’s same-day, confirmed boarding pass. This does not apply to Platinum Card Members with a connecting flight.

We will admit children under 2 years of age free of charge, provided an accompanying parent or guardian is able to produce a “lap infant” boarding pass or proof of age

Say's the poster who likely only needs to travel with one companion member or family member at a time...

What's your point? I sometimes bring two companions into the lounge with me, however I also understand the issue of crowding and I personally think an actual cardholder deserves entry over my second companion. Personally I think it's ridiculous that a family of 4 could enter on a single card.

With that said, there really aren't many more options other than lounge expansion, which at this point seems unlikely, at least at MIA.

I would rather start losing companion access than have access be limited for actual cardholders.

Why should a paying cardmember be put at a disadvantage in favor of friends/family admitted for free? Paying cardmembers should always have priority.

Because that's not practicable.

Why not? Ever cardholder is limited to one guest entry, period. No exceptions for a spouse plus children, plus emotional support animals, etc. etc.

A bit full, but not seriously crowded at sfo right now. I can put up with the at capacity lounge, but was forced to move seats cause a group of 20 something frat boys decided to sit at the next table. Maybe I am just getting old, but can't put up with that stuff anymore.

Instead of moving seats, why not ask the front desk to tell them to quiet down or get out? That does everyone in the lounge a huge favor.

I wholeheartedly agree. When out in public, people should behave with a certain level of decency and decorum.

I was in DFW lounge back in December and this guy was talking insanely loud on his phone with headphones on. A guy sitting behind him finally said "Nobody cares about your stupid phone call" and the guy immediately stopped talking (I'm guessing hung up on his phone call).
Everyone in the lounge gave the guy who made the comment a big smile!

LAS super busy now

Stopped by for late lunch just now (2:30) , place is a zoo. Not a single table in the dining area and barely any seats. I ate at the long wood table by the computers. Not sure if it's the holiday weekend or what...

On the plus side food and drinks are delicious. I'm loving the baked pasta, maybe a bit too much.

Was at LAS last weekend, there was a line and the place was packed... after presenting my Cent card lady showed us to 4 tables that had black 'reserved' signs and said these were for Cents only..easy peasy.

Two Centurion facilities today:

SEA at 5am: three seats reserved for Centurions and not too busy at all. Small queue was there waiting for it to open.

MIA this evening at 9pm. Absolute joke, as per other reports rammed with families. No reserved seats or tables for Centurions like other facilities, feeding time at the zoo at both the bar and buffet. Front desk told me no special drinks for Centurion at the bar but I spotted the Veuve. They then look at me and ask if I am 'a black card holder'. I left not long after that.

You'd think that they would only reserve seats when they're needed. Not when the club is partially empty.

Who would have thought Amex would be in the Food and Beverage business?

July 10 - 2.30 PM SEA Centurion Studio exp.

Absolutely horrible experience. Over crowded and had to wait outside for over 20 minutes. Kids and family were separated finally when we got seating. I was standing the whole time cos of lack of chairs. Food quality is so-so.
