So I was a little concerned to see that my £620 spend with Amex travel had posted to my account with two £310 transactions... but reading here I should be OK because the cumulative spend is high enough?

I got the email saying that "You just used your American Express Travel offer" so I know it tracked at least.

I have another of these on a different card, but I think I'm going to wait for the bonus to post before trying to use it (as I can book cheaper elsewhere).

It'll be fine - I have had this before and the bonus has posted.

Or Gold.

Also is there any pattern to when Amex issue the supplementary card holder bonus point offers? I managed to pick one up when getting an additional card on my BAPP but this was after having to hold out for a few months before the offer appeared on my account.

When you send someone your referral link, they used to be able to select a different Amex card to apply for other than the one you hold.

Has this feature disappeared recently?

Yep, should be fine. It does come and go a bit - sometimes switching browser does the trick, other times I find you need to give it a day or so!
