Question, I have a stay coming up at the Bellagio. Booked via FHR. However I also have Hyatt Platinum which gives me Mlife Gold which allows for an upgrade. Does my FHR upgrade stack on top of the Mlife upgrade? Anyone have experience with this?

Mlife properties don't recognize Hyatt status at all, and the Mlife tiers don't really do anything for upgrades (unless their records show you spend a lot of money gambling). It all has to do with how much gambling you do, and in my experience as a non-gambler the Bellagio FHR upgrades aren't too exciting. If you book a basic room they might upgrade you to a high strip-facing room in the Spa Tower where you can see the fountains (though it isn't officially a fountain view because the Tower is off at an angle). Perhaps you will get lucky, though, you never know.

I agree. I stayed at the Mandalay Bay as a matched Mlife Plat and got no upgrade or even acknowledgement of my status. The only two benefits I thought were useful were the expedited check in and the two free tickets for the NYNY rollercoaster (you choose from a few "experiences", and this is what I chose)

What do you mean Mlife properties dont recognize hyatt status? Hyatt platinum transfers over to mlife gold. Mlife hold qualifies you for a free upgrade. Reps for both Hyatt and MGM told me the partnership is still the same. What are you guys talking about?

What I'm saying is that even though my Hyatt diamond got me Mlife platinum, doesn't mean you will get any meaningful benefits from it (ie upgrades). I agree that it is purely revenue driven for Mlife upgrades, FHR probably will get you one, but not Mlife.

If you read this thread on the Mlife/Hyatt relationship, you'll find plenty of data points illustrating that even though Hyatt status matches to Mlife status, the Mlife status doesn't garner meaningful benefits unless you are spending a lot of money on the tables.

Skylofts

In case anyone is wondering, here is a reply I got from them. Sorry if this has been covered:

With regards to the American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts program, we are still a part of that program. There has been an error in the booking system and both American Express and MGM Resorts International are working to rectify this mistake. I do apologize for this inconvenience.

To answer your questions, we do offer complimentary transportation for our 2 & 3 Bedroom SKYLOFTS. 1 Bedroom SKYLOFT reservations are subject to an all-inclusive $110.00 charge for 2 round trip airport transfers. However, if you book through FHR, a 1 Bedroom Loft does receive complimentary transportation.

Finally, all SKYLOFTS guests are invited to dine at the Mansion Estate Dining Room, subject to availability.

If you should have any additional questions or requests Mr. Davis, please do not hesitate to contact me at your convenience. Once again I apologize for the error in the booking system

Breakfast at The Mansion is included (free) under the FHR program. You would need to pay for any additional meals.

Sorry if this was covered earlier in the thread, but which of the FHR hotels might be best for kids?

And can one double-dip with FHR and IC RA at the Palazzo?

Probably the 4 Seasons -- assuming kids would mostly be interested in the pools. Plus you don't have to walk through a casino to get to the rooms.

My wife and I are heading to Vegas for the 1st time for 4 nights at the end of February. She's 5 months pregnant so we're looking for a more relaxing/show oriented trip.

Given the current rates, we're looking at either the Delano or Palazzo. Any recommendations on which one would be best for us?

Also, since we both have Plat cards, could we each book 2 nights at the same hotel to get $200 spa or credit? Or would this be frowned upon?
