Bellagio Resort Credit - Alcohol?

Can you use the credit on drinks @ Petrossian Bar or Lily? Or anywhere else for that matter? The credit description says 'excludes alcohol'

No. Whey they say "excludes alcohol," they mean it. Casinos know exactly what is charged.

Thank a lot for your help,
Are the rates usually the same on FHR and on hotel website ? Does the FHR apply special offer on the rate when the hotel website does ?

FHR is usually the same as the best available rate. No discounts are available unless there is a specific special offer available (usually 3rd or 4th night free) through FHR.

You can also go here: https://www.americanexpressfhr.com/f...l_searches/new

and search a destination. You won't be able to see rates without a Plat card but you can see the available hotels and the list of benefits for each, including hotels outside Vegas if you are interested. As noted above the FHR rate will usually be the same as the best available, flexible, non-package/non-special rate from the hotel.

Or just book through a virtuoso/four seasons preferred partner

Bellagio

Just spent 4 nights at the Bellagio on the FHR rate and had a few observations:

The following was what was given to me when I checked in:

- Noon Check in, when available.
- Room Upgrade upon arrival, when available. Certain room categories may not be eligible for upgrades.
- Daily Breakfast for two people: $30 per person, per day valid at Cafe Bellagio, The Buffet, Pool Cafe (seasonal), Palio or Cafe Gelato.
- In-room Wi-Fi. Input your last name and room number to connect to in-room wifi.
- Guaranteed 4PM late check out.
- Addidtion Special Amenity: US$100 property credit to be used during your stay. Valid for Spa or Salon services, no merchandise. Dining credit valid at The Buffet, Cafe Bellagio, FIX, Harvest, LAGO, Lily Bar & Lounge, Jasmine, Michael Mina, Petrossian Bar.

In actuality the following happened:

- I was not given a free upgrade - the check in lady said there was none but I could have a suite at a reduced cost ($75 a night). At the time I took it but felt a bit conned and will be saying so in my stay review.
- The breakfast credit was just taken off in $ amount from my final bill, in fact it did not seem to matter where I had eaten just that it was food and not beverages. This worked out very well!

A great stay and the rate was magnificent, especially as I had the 4th night free. They just took the last night charge off rather than dividing the whole stay by 4. This worked out well as my 4th night was a SAT and a lot more expensive than the other 3 nights

All in all I was extremely pleased with the stay and will definately return!

I will update the Wiki with the new details (all minor).

The $75 suite upgrade does sound like a pretty good deal.

The Palazzo seems to have an new cancellation policy for many dates. It now reads:

"CXL: CXL BY 3 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL-FEE 1 NIGHT-INCL TAX-FEES-MUST PROVIDE 72 HOURS NOTICE PRIOR TO ARRIVAL TO CANCEL OTHERWISE THE FIRST NIGHT ROOMTAX WILL BE FORFEITED"

This seems to indicate that any cancellation, even one made prior to 3 days, would incur a one night fee. Is this right?

I agree it is confusing but pretty sure it is saying cancellation within 72 hours costs 1 night, before that no fee. The second half of the terms is clearer: must provide 72 hours notice or the first night will be forfeited.
