Very true. It's pretty awful.

Dang! Just got the 25k offer last night.

Tried to get Amex to match the 50k/$1k offer and I think I'd have better luck trying to empty the ocean with a bucket.

See here:

The marketing is misleading...It's their prerogative to determine the value of their points, but they advertise the card's points rewards just like everyone else. The "2x" points was one of their main selling points, as you can redeem these for airfare.

Happy to be here, thanks

Finally got the 50K/$1000 with TOR (took about 5 tries). It only worked after I quit all other browsers that I had open.

Well, I'm trying a Hail Mary... Chatted with a CSR and she opened a case to see if they'd match me to the 50k MR point offer. I've only had my PRG for 2 days and bit the 25k offer.

Think positively but I doubt you get it.

Just got an email from AmEx inviting me to apply for this card. It's a 25K/$1K offer though and not the 50K/$1K one. Haven't tried Tor yet but incognito mode only gives me 25K/$2K; is the 50K/$1K offer still available?

AMEX sent us the "50K/0 fee/1000 spend" offer yesterday. A direct link explaining how to get 2 cpp value would be appreciated.

The answer to your question will vary widely, depending on your intended air travel (from where? to where? and in what class of service?)

I received the "Get 50,000 Membership Rewards points after you use your new Card to make $1,000 in purchases in your first 3 months."

Problem is I don't plan on traveling anytime soon. What's the best way to cash out 50k MR points?

Thanks!

ORD to LIMA or OZ or SAfrica in Y would be interesting.
