Today a Plat customer service rep said it will be early 2015.
Hopefully we can use it when we fly MIA-DOH on QR and not to have to use the AAdmiral Club.

Location of the MIA Centurion lounge is confirmed in this document.
http://www.miamidade.gov/govaction/l...014/140826.pdf
It will be the former British Airways lounge, as mentioned in documents linked posts 1 and 4.

I may be flying to Canada on AC around Jan 2, 2015.
I guess the lounge will not be open then? If it were to be open, could I access the lounge from the AC gates?

Not conveniently. Star Alliance flights are in the South Terminal (red area). This lounge will be in the far end of the North Terminal (blue area). Scroll back to post 12 to see where the lounge is located.

It's the location of a former British Airways lounge. There is now a shared OneWorld lounge for AA, AB, BA, IB in concourse E. The airport has been completely reconfigured over the past decade. Notice that the North Terminal is designated "D". That's because the former "A", "B", "C" and "D" concourses were demolished and replaced. As far as I know, the North Terminal is (almost) entirely AA gates.

Side note, the D/E terminal also serves Qatar Airways, British Airways, Iberia, Finnair and airberlin. The lounge will be right near Qatar's gate.

That makes sense, and it fits with how the the SFO lounge is in the domestic United terminal, with an airside connection to the Star Alliance international gates.

The MIA Centurion lounge space is reported to be 8,500 square feet, slightly smaller than the DFW location. I assume that not all of the space in any lounge is public, and the perceived space also depends on how it is configured.
