Now that I think about it, the perfect place for an IAD Centurion lounge is the main terminal, between security and the trains. There's lots of space there although perhaps without windows. That way no matter what airline you are flying you could use the lounge, then walk or take the train to your gate.

I noticed that at BOS, there are advertisement blitz of AMEX Plat card, right around the soon to be former Admiral Club (near B30). That got me thinking, it would be a perfect new location for the Centurion lounge (given the set up of the AC there already, with its size and showers).

They built the train station at the location where the new concourse is supposed to be built - when that's built is when it will make sense for Amex. At the rate Washington airports does anything it will be a decade away. You'd think they'd be embarrassed at the conditions in which their hub airline has to operate.
I don't think there's any need for Amex to put a Centurion Lounge in the B gates - it's well-served with lounges, including Priority Pass, and not where it can effectively serve its US cardholders. Needs to be C/D by UA. Whenever.

Note that BA access ends at 2PM, and the Air France lounge is a trek from B as it is located in A, lets not act like those are close.

As an AA DCA-based flyer I certainly wouldn't complain, but I kind of doubt it. It would have to be landside or else could only serve 1 out of the 4 airside areas. If you are Plat with AA it would probably be worth if for you to bite the bullet for the Citi Exec card. I've been able to get retention offers the last two years for a $450 and $250 statement credit, respectively, which definitely makes the lounge access worth it to me (plus the 8 friends/family I have as AUs). Not to mention the EQM credits if you can swing putting 40k on it.
