FAQ
Q: Where is the lounge?
A: Terminal 3, F concourse, right by Gate F2 (formerly gate 75) and the F-1 security checkpoint (that has PreCheck, sometimes).
Q: Can I visit there if I'm departing from another terminal?
A: Absolutely. Security at SFO will let passengers departing from any concourse at SFO go through security in any concourse, even ones that aren't connected behind security. At the moment, Terminal 3 concourses E and F, and International Terminal concourse G are connected airside to the Centurion lounge. Some other concourses are connected to each other airside, but not to the point that you can walk airside to the Centurion. However, with a PreCheck security lane right next to the entrance to the lounge, it can be quite easy to clear security twice if necessary.
Q: Can I visit if I'm arriving at SFO?
A: It depends. If you're arriving in the aforementioned concourses E, F, or G, then yes, but only if you have a connecting flight. If you're arriving in one of the other concourses, then security at SFO won't let you clear into E, F, or G without a boarding pass departing SFO that day. If you're arriving internationally, again, you'd need a same-day SFO departing boarding pass to clear security.

The SFO Centurion Lounge is next to the TSA Precheck/United premium (UA First or Business and relevant UA/Star Alliance statuses) security lines.

Just so I'm clear, you're talking about exiting T2. Clearing T3 security with four people. Visiting a lounge and going back to T2. Reclearing security at T2 and boarding on time (30 min before push) for a departure. Is this right? If this is right you're insane. And I say this with all respect.

Darn. Maybe I will need to do this another time.

If you have pre-check it should be easy on your own. And if you have an Admirals Club membership you can leave the wife and kids there.

I asked the concierge at the LAS location when the SFO lounge would open and he said for sure by the end of the year and perhaps as early as "next month".
Here are some pictures I took during my SFO layover:

I go to LAS a lot since I have family there and once the SFO Centurion Lounge is open I don't think I'll ever connect through LAX again, unless they decide to open a Centurion Lounge there near the UA gates.

As I've said upthread, I probably won't have occasion to use this lounge much. I live near SFO, so I never have connecting flights through it.
Still, this should be great for those who have connecting flights on United, or an outbound *Alliance connection between a domestic flight in T3E or T3F and a domestic connection, or an international connection in International-G, which has an airside connection very close to this Centurion lounge.

Will TSA allow you to enter if your boarding pass is for another terminal that's not connected airside?

Oh wait, they require a boarding pass don't they? Shucks...
Yes, just tell them you know you are in the wrong terminal. I've done it before to visit the AA lounge during an 8-hour layover due to UA IRROPs.

I'll be going out of SF O this week, I wonder if getting to T3 is going to be a pain from other terminals.
