Anyone know if this offer can extend status? If I have it through 2014, can it extend until 2015?

Just called to ask about this... I am already Gold through Feb of 2014. I asked how long this would be effective. I was told as long as I had the Platinum card I would have Gold status.

Just called (U.S. Platinum line) and it took all of two minutes to get the status upgrade entered. Nice! Agent said it was a new benefit. Fingers crossed it becomes an annual benefit beyond 2014.

Her research turned up nothing (she asked her colleagues and team leader !)...so I guess I'll have to call back... She offered up the Hilton number to ask them ?!?

FWIW, some of the bloggers offered a different number to call: 800-528-4800, which is just the general Amex CS number. I don't see how that'd be better than the Plat Card Services number, but it's a legitimate number (published on Amex.com).

Nevermind, saw I need a platinum card which is AF of either $450 or $150 and then you can upgrade to Hilton Gold Status.

Just enrolled for this. It seems it’s a limited time offer till Dec 31 and if you enroll before that you get to keep Gold status as long as you have your platinum card.
