Tip to RFD on this possibly TARGETED promotions to SELECT AMEX Gold cardholders only

AMEX MR Promo 1000pts = 12,50$ in credit (25% bonus) (end august 31st)

Under the home page, below the PDF statement link
Click "Use points"
Browse and redeem online. Your Membership Rewards points balance is:: XXX
Use points for qualified travel transactions

I have Platinum and Gold (linked to Platinum MR account) but don't see it
I only see 1000 points = $10

I won't be making use of this offer. 1,000 = $12.50 is poor value. Aeroplan mini-RTW for 125,000 in business is still much better value.

according to RFD'ers, this deal seems to be dead anyway (yes, despite it saying expiring 8/31)
