Amex Charge Card as first Amex UK card?
Hi,

Does anyone know if Amex are usually happy to issue Charge Cards to customers who've never been with Amex before? Perfect credit history.

It'd be a UK Gold Card.

I think they will be more than happy to issue Charge Cards vs their credit card products as the Charge Cards requires full payment each cycle and carries a higher annual fee.

My first AMEX card was a Gold charge card issued in January and the wife had her first as a Platinum issued in February. No issues with either, both UK.
