I'd love to check out the lounge while in Vegas this June. My husband received an "access" key good through December 2013. With it being located at terminal D4 what are the chances of us getting over there from South West Airlines terminals? We (4 of us) are taking a non stop from FLL to LAS. It was too convenient to pass up. I'm currently gold with Delta but their fares have been out of this world lately!

I'm typing this from the lounge as we speak, and I'm flying Southwest... You can get to the D concourse from the C gates, it's just not the most convenient walk, but that's what I did. Just ask around, to point you in the right area -- there's a secure door that TSA will open for you and then I took a tram into the D concourse.

How long can one stay in the Lounge for the $50 fee? I'll have a rather late flight.

Centurion Lounge at LAS
Normally time limits are not enforced in Airport lounges
Have no idea in this lounge but I doubt you will have problems

Edit: Darn. I just realized that WestJet bag drop only opens 3 hours before departure... So I probably can't spend 5-6 hours in the lounge working. :-(

I tried out the new Centurion Lounge in early May on a flight out of Las Vegas. (I had been sent an access card valid through the end of the year.) I can sum up the experience in one word: Wow! I was quite impressed. Really nice facility, not crowded at all, super helpful (and plentiful) employees.. I felt like a rock star. It was so relaxing to be able to use the lounge before hopping on a long flight home.
I was flying Southwest, so there was the matter of switching concourses. I went directly to the D Concourse, which was easy enough, but it was a little tricky getting back to Southwest's concourse (B, I think?). At first it looked like the only way to switch concourses was to exit the secure area (and I guessed it would be difficult to go back through security with a boarding pass that had already been marked), but I asked a TSA agent at the D security area, and he escorted me through a locked door that let me proceed to B. That was a little awkward, but I guess it's their practice to let you through if you ask...
Anyway, I was really impressed with the Centurion Lounge and plan to re-visit on my next Vegas trip. I appreciate getting the free visits through the end of the year, but would consider paying in the future. It would be awesome if AmEx included something like 2 or 4 free Centurion Club visits to Platinum cardholders; that would be a nice benefit.

I had a similar experience - I had 30 minutes till boarding and just wanted to duck in, so I cleared security at D. By that time, it was 20 minutes until boarding and I got nervous, so I asked the TSA agent if there was any way to get to the C concourse - she badged me through like it was a fairly standard thing.
In retrospect, I suppose I could have gone down to the club, ducked in to see it and then come back to ask her - but if I'd gotten a stickler for the rules (and the guy at the license/ticket check desk had told me I'd have to reclear) I would have been late for Southwest's cattle call.
It wasn't really an option this time to come early enough for that - why is LAS set up so that you can't get from D to C? I'd hate to think that to use this benefit would always depend on the kindness and reasonableness of a random individual TSA agent.

Wish they'd offer these to non-US residents I asked Plat CS here but they couldn't get hold of them - wasn't impressed with the Priority Pass lounge last time I was passing through and would like to try this one out next time!

So that if there's a security breach that requires a terminal to be emptied, they don't have to do it to both. Also, there is very little connecting traffic between WN and the Terminal D/E carriers, especially since LAS really isn't much of an int'l connecting gateway.
I don't think the target market for premium lounges is WN passengers. That's why it's in Terminal D.

Greetings from the lounge. I got a "good till the end of the year" key. I have multiple AX cards however this one came on my corporate card with a $450 fee. I contemplated cancelling the card but based on my lounge experience i'll keep it for at least one more year.
It was not busy, i'd say a staff ratio of one to one. I found all the people to be nice. The front desk employees are AMX, the others are contracted. I had some chicken with roasted potatoes, grilled carrots and a mac and cheese that was excellent.
The bar is fully stocked with top shelf, all complimentary. Kettle One of course! Considering the great meal, if I had several hours i'd easily pay the $50.

Stopped by the lounge yesterday to check it out. I was flying on US Airways, which is concourse A, so that is a bit of a hike.
I went through the C/D PreCheck line and asked the security agent if it would be possible to get from D to A. He said, "just ask any security agent *nicely* and they should open the door in the glass wall for you". When we left the lounge we had no problem getting to the other concourse after we showed our boarding passes to the agent.
The lounge itself is very nice. After checking in at the desk I was given a box of Japanese cookies for being a Cent card holder. I was also offered a choice of a complimentary glass of champagne (not sure what the brand was) or a glass of Johnny Walker Blue, on the house.
Nice atmosphere, very clean and quite with great amenities. I really like that there are power outlets almost everywhere you look.

Would love a Centurion Lounge in PHX where the old Crown Room was. T3 North is rather pathetic, & I'm sure it would put the measly US & UA clubs to shame...
