The breakfast is a typical spread of scrambled eggs, bacon, salad, fruit, oatmeal, cereal, bagels, bread/toasts.

Just to note - Nevada's governor announced today that handover of lockdown decision restrictions to local governments will proceed as planned on 1 May. In conjunction with that announcement, Clark County has proposed that self-serve buffets be allowed again beginning on that date. So presumably the Centurion's foodservice could return to "normal" at that time.

The current Clark County plan does require a bit more than "back to normal" so we'll see how the Centurion Lounge adapts:
Unless a Governor’s Directive is less restrictive, food may be presented in a buffet style self-service if:
• Each station is supervised by an employee
• Hand sanitizer is offered to the patrons prior to obtaining tableware
• Service utensils are changed out every hour
Given there isn't really anywhere for an employee to supervise the buffet from behind, like there is at most of the casino buffets, I can imagine they might find it just as easy to continue having someone serving the food.

Let's hope! Lots of reasons beyond COVID to keep people's hands off the serving utensils (and invaribly off the food). I'd be very happy to see self-service never return where items are not presented on individual plates. Some people simply don't understand common courtesy when it comes to buffets...even at the Centurion.

Couldn't agree with you more. I hope they always keep it individually plated. Far more sanitary, pandemic or not. I wasn't a fan of buffets before so not overly beat up they haven't returned.

I have not generally been asked for the boarding passes of my guests, IIRC. Not sure what you mean by a guest without a boarding pass but the lounge is in the secure area of the airport so you'd need a boarding pass of some sort to reach the lounge.

Was really interested to see this: "During the expansion, Amex repurposed the dedicated family room as a new multipurpose room — it’s no longer reserved for families, nor does it have any children’s toys inside." Looks like they know the access changes will reduce children.

Perhaps, but might also simply be that the children's rooms were underutilized.

That’s true, I’ve not seen them used much any with covid perhaps parents don’t want their kids touching toys and objects that are high touch points.

We can now seat ourselves at the lounge as distancing restrictions are gone. They still plate the food for you.

Are seats still blocked off to limit distance?
