MR Starwood 50% bonus?

MR Starwood 50% bonus?

I've seen on a couple other blogs that there is a 50% Bonus for Membership Rewards transfer to SPG. Anyone have any ideas how to get targeted for this? I'm trying to book 6 nights in Paris, and have enough points at 2:1 transfer, but not at 3:1. I called and tweeted AMEX rewards - no luck. Any help would be appreciated!

Typically this offer is not targeted. In recent years it has been offered only once per year, and only for a brief transfer period.

Note that the amount and timing of the bonus are very different.

I know, that's what makes it so frustrating. Here is the link I found on Boarding Area

The MR rep said that they have gotten quite a few calls about it. Anyone have a contact in MR marketing? I really want to be able to book points only, and am running out of time.
