Nice. Was this recently? Any suggestions on how others can do the same?

Got an mail offer for Gold Business Card in early Jan for 75k miles with only 2k in spend in first 3 months. Waiting for my miles to post in the next statement.

Also got targeted with AMEX Gold card with 50k miles with 2k spend limit. Still on fence if I should apply as I got 5-6 new cards in last few months.

Not sure. I got both an email and a letter via snail mail. The email offer was sent on Jan 28 and expires 3/14.

The RSVP codes are limited by ZIP right? This prevents the codes from being shared?

I can tell you the application code on the email is specific to me. When I click on 'apply now' it has my information prefilled.

I signed up with a link through creditcards.com for 30,000 points (after $5,000 in purchases) 24 hours ago. This morning, after having made lots of enquiries with AMEX over the last 48 hours, I receive an offer for 75,000 points (after just $2,000 in purchases) via snail mail.

As I hadn't received the first approved card yet, I called AMEX to try to switch signup bonuses. At first I was told no, then I asked to speak with a supervisor. She said that I was still eligible for the 75,000 point offer but had to go through the application process all over again. I was advised that I could cancel the 30,000 points card when it arrived.

Any idea of whether the originally approved, but not activated card, would appear on my business credit report?

Also, the timing of the 75,000 point offer was very interesting.

The offer would have been prepared weeks or months ago as part of a bulk mailing. Credit card issuers are no interested in individual customers.

amex gold 75k biz after 2k spending

who else got this recently

I got a bus gold offer for 50k with $5k in spending in the mail. It does not contain the language abut having gold or plat cards recently. I just cancelled both gold and plat bus cards about 3 months ago.

Not having that language makes it tempting but I am still worried. Offer expires 3/14 so I will wait a few more weeks.
