Malaysian Airlines companion fares
 
Has anyone had any experience of using the companion fares from the UK on MH?

Just wondering if a J2 fare will qualify, or is it strictly J?

Also, if anyon eknows, same questions for CX.

ST , don't know about those Airlines but every time I've asked about a companion fare they've always been more expensive than 2 discounted biz.

MInd you, I think ( haven't got rules in front of me ) that MH upgrade to First if you're on full fare biz through Amex, might be worth it if you could swing companion fare AND upgrade !

Have had similar experiences myself, but last night was looking at MH fares on travelocity.com, for routes such as LHR-Kota Kinabalu. The most expensive fare quoted was a J2 and that was under £3k return. Shy of going with someone like Kuwait via BKK & KUL, I doubt you could beat this with discounted fares.....
