When does Centurion double points start?
 

Subject says it all.

Is that double Membership Rewards points? If it's good at all establishments then the Centurion card is a good value even at $2,500 per year.

will this be available in germany as well?

I hope in Switzerland it will work too.

Sorry, this is only in the U.S. as per http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum69/HTML/001061.html and I made a mistake. It's 1.5 points per dollar spent. But I was just wondering if anyone has seen the 1.5 points start?

I have noticed that my MR accrual is more than the $s I spend each month. I assume this is the 1.5 bonus. I think the bonus is only for spending with a Cent. partner.

There is no statement that explains the accrual, so I just have to trust Amex.

Well we always got some sort of bonus, but it wasn't 50%. I'm trying to find out when the 1.5 starts.

In Canada, the Gold and Platinum (we have no Centurion) have always had the 1.5 bonus - great deal, since our Canadian $ is 50% less in value of the USD or Euro. Gold requires a $50 annual fee to have the bonus, comes in the Platinum $399 fee. Other than that and the 2-4-1 flights in First or Bus on Cathay, BA, Alitalia and Japan Air; the card is worthless.... Major drop of benefits and downright despicable customer service.
