I'm very disappointed...
UK (Pounds and $) = 88 , Germany = 88 . |
Looks like the U.S. has no set #s for Centurion?

I think itīs just another proove, that centurion is nothin but a "jumepd up" ordinary amex card, for people, who are willing to pay a ridiculous amount of money to boost their ego.

Amex employees who need this information get it from Amex computer system. Other people (at lounges, etc.) just look at the card. [This message has been edited by ahrz (edited 06-05-2002).] |
In all seriousness, the image of the Centurion card is greater than other card products from other vendors, based on it's look, and "exclusivity" - which is different from buying a Hermes scarf, and no one knows it cost $150 unless they also have one. The Centurion card is a walking advertising package, both for the cardholder ("I am important") and American Express ("We are better"), nothing discreet about it! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

My guess would be that there used to be a numbering system, but that has given way due to the large number of different types of cards now being issued.
