I have wondered the same thing. I suppose if it's outside CFPB's scope they would just tell you so and you wouldn't be 'out' anything except time spent making the complaint.

I had two 15K referral bonus that should have posted the first week of January just recently post in the last week of May. I had called both Hilton and AMEX multiple times and even received letters from AMEX saying that the points were NOT due. But as I said just received them ultimately in late May. Go figure.

Referred a friend back in February, and have been going back and forth with both Hilton and Amex since May. Hilton was kind enough to give me 20k earlier today and then hours later I got another 20k. I'm not able to see the descriptions yet, but I'm assuming the second 20k is from AMEX. So hopefully others will be receiving their points as well very soon.

I wondered the same thing and came to the conclusion that the limit must be 55k MRs across all cards - meaning you could obtain three 15k referrals and one 10k referral (or some other mathematical combination from different card referral bonuses offered at differing points levels) that would add up to 55k MRs.
