Reminder: you must enroll and select Southwest as your airline BEFORE making a reimbursable purchase.
Some have suggested the need to wait several hours or even a day before making the purchase, but there are also several DPs that worked without waiting that long.

(BTW, you will often hear people refer to Southwest as WN. WN is the IATA code for Southwest Airlines. SW is the IATA code for Air Namibia.)

Caution: As of late July 2019, reports are that direct gift card purchases are no longer being reimbursed.
To purchase click here: https://www.southwest.com/gift-card/create-card.html Caution: Do NOT login to your Southwest Rapid Rewards account when making the purchase.

What does appear to work is buying flight tickets less than $100, OR using gift cards to get the charged amount down to less than $100.

Always read the last few pages to get up-to-date DPs.

BizPlat

June 1st Selected Southwest for Airline Credit
June 5th Purchased $200 eGC (without being logged in)
June 10th Still shows $200 on the meter and no reimbursement.

Hoping just takes a bit longer. have seen some DPs quicker, some shorter, so hoping its just a batch processing thing on Amex side.

Hey everyone! First post here and I recognize how important these data points are, particularly for the Amex airline fee credits; I relied on these posts heavily to educate my own decision-making, so to reciprocate...

Me too. Purchased $200 eGC on June 7th and haven't seen the credit posted or the meter go down. Hoping it'll process in the next few days.

Now June 12th and my $200 WN eGC from over a week ago (June 5th) still hasn't credited on my BizPlat. A purchase for Dell several days afterwards HAS been reimbursed. Hopefully its just a BizPlat batching issue rather than a change that is specific to this card or something!

This is somewhat concerning. Although my $75 gc took 6 days to credit back in early april.

All my enrollable benefits currently show 'Status Unavailable' on both the mobile and desktop site, so hopefully its just some sort of system glitch they are working through. If it turns out $100 gets through and $200 doesn't I'll be kicking myself for not going with 2 $100 gift cards.

I keep getting this error when trying to purchase a Southwest GC w/ Amex:

We were unable to process your request right now. Please try again or if you continue to have difficulties, please contact a Southwest Airlines Customer Service Representative at 1-800-I-FLY-SWA (1-800-435-9792) (SW104105)
Anybody else been able to buy a GC yesterday or today?

FYI, I'm in the exact same boat. Same dates and all.

There's hope!
