Reminder: you must enroll and select Southwest as your airline BEFORE making a reimbursable purchase.
Some have suggested the need to wait several hours or even a day before making the purchase, but there are also several DPs that worked without waiting that long.
(BTW, you will often hear people refer to Southwest as WN. WN is the IATA code for Southwest Airlines. SW is the IATA code for Air Namibia.)

Bought $200 on wife’s platinum card 11/16 reimbursed 11/18. Used to be afraid to do all $200 in one shot but no more.

Guys, I just tried purchasing a gift card and got an error message. Now I am wondering should I try again or wait couple days and see if charge appears?

If you don't have an immediate need for the GC, let it rest for a couple of days. Then make sure nothing was charged and just purchase it again.

.....Anyone have like situation ???? What happened??
I am an authorized user on my mothers Plat Am Exp. account.(with my Own card) ALL my charges appear on her online account page.. Am Exp rep told me that $200 credit on Plat card is Only for main card holder. ..She Does NOT fly so i had her choose Southwest as her Airline for travel credit. I then used MY card to buy SW gift card (remember ALL my charges appear on Her acccount ) Will the credit be applied ?? Its been 5 days so far and still No credit.... Anyone else been in this situation? What was result ?? THANKS All

New Schwab Platinum...ordered a $200 gc on 11/27. Wanted to send the gc to my own email address. I got the receipt by email, but not the electronic gift card. 11/29 still haven’t received it yet. Payment is pending with AMEX. Usually the electronic gc’s come fairly instantly. Not calling yet. I will wait a few days more...

Both me and my wife have the platinum.
We added southwest Nov 21 and the same day purchased 2 $100 gift cards each. Still no reimbursement for both its Nov 30.
Credit still says $200 remaining.
Last year I purchased 2 $100 certs but on consecutive days. But still one was the same day I added the airline and it worked perfectly fine.
Only difference I see is last year the transaction posted with Southwest Dallas/TX and its address.
This year it shows up as
