Reminder: you must enroll and select Southwest as your airline BEFORE making a reimbursable purchase.
Some have suggested the need to wait several hours or even a day before making the purchase, but there are also several DPs that worked without waiting that long.
(BTW, you will often hear people refer to Southwest as WN. WN is the IATA code for Southwest Airlines. SW is the IATA code for Air Namibia.)
Caution: As of late July 2019, reports are that direct gift card purchases are no longer being reimbursed.
To purchase click here: https://www.southwest.com/gift-card/create-card.html Caution: Do NOT login to your Southwest Rapid Rewards account when making the purchase.
What does appear to work is buying flight tickets less than $100, OR using gift cards to get the charged amount down to less than $100.
Always read the last few pages to get up-to-date DPs.

Now that I have the $100 Southwest eGC, anyone have any recommendations where to sell it? I looked at Ebay, there arent many private sellers out there. Any other low fee websites to dump this?

Just do Ebay, you should get $85-$90 for it. After fees, maybe $80. Ebay is safe, why not use it?

AMEX Platinum (new account as of 10/7):
Fri 10/13: Set airline to Southwest
Mon 10/16: Purchased one $200 GC from Southwest
Wed 10/18: $200 charge from Southwest posted to my account (dated 10/16)
Thu 10/19: Benefits page states "Saved $200 on fees in 2017." (nothing posted)
Fri 10/20: AMEX Airline Fee Reimbursement posted (dated 10/19)
The key thing to remember in terms of timing is that there is a 1-2 day lag between the actual charge/reimbursement and the actual posting of those amounts. As a result, although my statement shows 3 business days between the charge and reimbursement, in reality, it took 4 full business days for me to see it all on my online statement. Some have reported a slightly longer delay (depending on processing time, weekends, holidays, etc.), so I wouldn't start to get concerned until you've given it a full week.
Another thing to remember is to wait at least one full business day after making/changing your airline selection before making your purchase. Several people have reported that making a purchase related to a new/changed airline selection on the same day may cause the reimbursement not to be issued or delayed.
