Reminder: you must enroll and select Southwest as your airline BEFORE making a reimbursable purchase.
Some have suggested the need to wait several hours or even a day before making the purchase, but there are also several DPs that worked without waiting that long.

(BTW, you will often hear people refer to Southwest as WN. WN is the IATA code for Southwest Airlines. SW is the IATA code for Air Namibia.)

Caution: As of late July 2019, reports are that direct gift card purchases are no longer being reimbursed.

What does appear to work is buying flight tickets less than $100, OR using gift cards to get the charged amount down to less than $100.

Always read the last few pages to get up-to-date DPs.

Can we please add "DO NOT CALL AMEX OVER UNPOSTED GIFT CARD REIMBURSEMENTS" to the wiki? I feel that the gig will be up soon due to impatience and ignorance.

I plan to cancel this card after my January statement. Can anyone tell me if SW Gift Cards and EBCI purchases produce 3 MR points/dollar or just 1? (I want to end up with a MR point balance at either 1,000 or something divisible by 250.)

Based upon this, it looks like they may not be reimbursing $100 charges now.

Except THIS example is for a $200 reimbursement of a purchase made on the same date. American Express apparently runs batch processes for reimbursements, and if a transaction is missed it seems not to be picked up by the "next" batch. I would leave it for a few weeks.

Hold on this one. They had some difficulty on 1/2 I personally wouldn't be surprised if it posts soon.
